New York workers’ compensation medical benefits are your first line of support after a workplace injury. From the moment you file your claim, the system covers medically necessary treatment—no guesswork, no hassles. That clarity matters when you’re hurt and unsure what comes next. You get the right care, at the right time, without delay—so you can focus on recovery, not paperwork.
Brett Nomberg Law offers free consultations with no attorney fee unless you win. If you were injured due to someone else’s negligence, the Top New York Personal Injury Attorney is ready to hear your story. Call anytime — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Use the WCB’s Medical Treatment Guidelines and Authorized Provider Search Tool to find approved doctors, clinics, imaging centers, and specialists. You don’t need prior approval to see an employer-designated provider.
Once your claim is filed, your employer’s insurer is responsible for paying for all treatment necessary to cure or relieve the effects of your work-related injury. This includes ER visits, imaging, surgeries, specialist consultations, and physical therapy—until your condition stabilizes or reaches maximum medical improvement (MMI).
New York sets medical reimbursement rates in its Medical Fee Schedules. These rates are binding and ensure predictable payment. Starting August 1, 2025, the WCB requires all providers to use the CMS-1500 form for billing electronically to improve efficiency.
Insurance carriers must respond promptly to treatment requests. If they delay or deny medically necessary care, you can file a Request for Assistance or pursue a hearing through the Board. An IME (Independent Medical Examination) may also be requested to resolve disputes over treatment.
Brett Nomberg personally handles every single case from trial through appeals. Speak directly to your lawyer—even on weekends. No attorney fee unless we win.
Workers’ compensation medical benefits are more than just treatment—they’re a critical part of your financial and physical recovery. Don’t assume you’re getting everything you’re entitled to. Know your rights, document everything, and make sure the care you need isn’t denied or delayed.
